Ridebus
This project represents a complete digitalization of intercity bus transportation in Macedonia. The problem was that there was no way to check the bus schedule, crowds formed when buying tickets, and passengers were left behind due to a lack of space on the bus. I created a journey map to identify where all the problems occur. Based on the analysis, the possible solutions included the development of a centralized platform and software for ticket vending machines. We agreed to develop both systems, which means we created a mobile application for ticket purchasing, an application for drivers, a web application for transport operators, as well as a design for a ticket vending machine system.
We not only reduced crowds, but we also created a new style of travel, making it easier for tourists to find their way around. People can choose the destination they want to travel to, and we make sure to offer the fastest and cheapest line.
The number of available seats is shared with the next bus station, so they know how many tickets they can sell for that line, which solves another big problem.
We have made the work easier and increased the visibility of the companies that provide transportation, through a platform that allows them to designate which driver will drive which bus on which day. We have also created templates so that they do not have to fill in all the fields every day.
Finally, we created ticket vending machines, which enabled faster ticket purchases, reduced crowds, and even reduced the number of ticket sellers, resulting in greater earnings for bus stations.
